Tallgrass Institute provides strategic partnership and network activation around rights-based approaches to sustainable development, equity in deal-making, and socially responsible investment.

We cultivate collaborative networks to interact with and activate investor and economic ecosystems aligned with Indigenous Peoples’ rights and wellbeing. By providing expertise to Indigenous leaders and investors, attending and convening industry events and conferences, and transmitting relevant issues and solutions through earned and owned media, we maintain and grow external presence and impact.

Through presenting and engaging in convenings to integrate ongoing initiatives and the Indigenous perspective, we nurture enduring alliances and partnerships and create pathways between Indigenous Peoples and investors to ensure respect for Indigenous Peoples’ rights, including their right to free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) in projects that include or impact them.

As a trusted expert on the confluence of Indigenous issues and market and investment strategies, we receive/accept regular invitations to present on topics to support knowledge and capacity building of industry and corporate audiences.In this capacity, we invite Indigenous leaders to participate wherever possible to connect with wide audiences on the issues, provide direct expertise and data, and maximize transmission of the priorities and solutions of Indigenous Peoples.
